In large automated production lines, multi-jointed robotic arms can flexibly grab biscuits from the conveyor belt and accurately place them on the worktable.
Positioning principle: To ensure that biscuits can accurately enter the sandwiching stage, positioning devices are usually set. These positioning devices may detect the position of biscuits through sensors and then feed back to the control system. The control system then adjusts the action of the biscuit feeding mechanism to make the biscuits reach the predetermined position. Or mechanical structures such as slots and positioning pins are used to limit and fix biscuits. For example, when biscuits are sent to a specific area on the worktable, the slots around will hold the biscuits to fix their positions for subsequent sandwiching operations.
Core components: The sandwiching mechanism is the key part for realizing biscuit sandwiching. Its core component is usually the sandwiching mold. There are pistons and pressure plates inside the sandwiching mold. The pistons are driven by pneumatic elements or electric motors.
Working method: When biscuits reach the sandwiching position, the piston drives the pressure plate under power to push the pre-prepared filling (such as cream, jam, chocolate, etc.) between two biscuits. The amount of filling pushed out can be controlled in various ways, such as by adjusting the stroke of the piston, controlling the size of air pressure, or changing the pressure of the pressure plate. Taking cream sandwiching as an example, if you need to increase the filling amount of cream, you can increase the stroke of the piston to make more cream be extruded into the middle of the biscuits. Conversely, reducing the piston stroke can reduce the amount of cream. In addition, some advanced sandwiching machines are also equipped with precise metering devices that can accurately control the amount of filling for each sandwiching according to the set parameters to ensure that the fillings of each biscuit are uniform.

After biscuits are sandwiching completed, the biscuit discharging mechanism takes the sandwiched biscuits out from the worktable and places them on the discharge conveyor belt or for the next processing step. Subsequent processing: Biscuits after discharging may directly enter the packaging stage, or go through processes such as cooling and inspection first and then be packaged. In the packaging stage, different packaging methods such as bagging and boxing may be adopted according to different packaging requirements and product characteristics.
